La réforme constitutionnelle italienne de 2022 inscrit la protection de l’environnement, de la biodiversité et des écosystèmes parmi les principes fondamentaux de la Constitution. Cette réforme, soulignant une prise de conscience tardive mais significative, aligne l’Italie sur les tendances globales du constitutionnalisme environnemental et reflète un changement de perspective culturelle. Cet article veut souligner la valeur innovante et symbolique de la réforme dans le contexte italien, en présentant aussi les opinions doctrinales qui ont critiqué la réforme pour son manque d’ambition et sa portée limitée par rapport aux modèles plus développés d’autres nations européennes.
The 2022 Italian constitutional reform incorporates the protection of the environment, biodiversity, and ecosystems among the fundamental principles of the Constitution. This reform brings Italy in line with global trends in environmental constitutionalism and reflects a great shift of paradigm, also in a cultural perspective. This article aims to underlines the reform’s innovative and symbolic value within the Italian context, also presenting doctrinal opinions that have criticized the reform for its lack of ambition and limited scope compared to more developed models of other European nations.
